Bosnia and Herzegovina 1906 Pictorial Issue, Sarajevo City Hall
Bosnia and Herzegovina · 1906 · 1 Heller
This stamp is the first in a definitive series issued under Austro-Hungarian administration. The design features a detailed engraving of the Sarajevo City Hall (Vijećnica), a prominent example of Austro-Hungarian architecture in the city. The denomination is shown in the upper corners, with the country name in German and Serbo-Croatian at the bottom.
Issued during the Austro-Hungarian administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this series replaced earlier military post stamps and established a distinct postal identity for the territory before its formal annexation in 1908.
