This commemorative set of nine stamps was issued by Panama to celebrate the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition held in San Francisco. The set was printed by the American Bank Note Company in New York.

The Panama-Pacific Exposition celebrated the completion of the Panama Canal in 1914, a monumental engineering achievement that connected the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and reshaped global trade routes.
