King Norodom I, First Issue of Cambodia

This stamp features a left-facing portrait of King Norodom I, the ruler of Cambodia. The design is simple, with the King's effigy in a central oval, surrounded by decorative elements and the denomination '10c' at the bottom. This was the first postage stamp ever issued for Cambodia.

Issued under the French Protectorate of Cambodia, this stamp was printed in Paris and marks the beginning of the Cambodian postal system. It was intended for use but was never officially put into circulation.
