This set of three stamps was a joint issue by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, members of the East African Community. The designs feature prominent mountains of the region: Mount Kilimanjaro (50c), Mount Kenya (1/-), and Mount Elgon (2/-). Each stamp beautifully illustrates the respective peak, celebrating the shared natural heritage of East Africa.

Issued in 1977, this set was one of the final joint issues before the collapse of the first East African Community later that year due to political and economic disagreements among the member states.
