Croatia 1941 Postage Due Proofs, Set of 8

Croatia · 1941 · Various (50b to 10k)

This is a set of eight imperforate proofs for the first postage due stamps issued by the Independent State of Croatia. The design features a large numeral of value in the center, framed by decorative elements, with the Croatian coat of arms (Šahovnica) at the top. The stamps were printed in various colors corresponding to their denomination.

Issued in 1941, these stamps represent the establishment of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH), a World War II-era puppet state of Germany and Italy. They were among the first postal issues of the new administration.
