Rhodesia 1970 Postage Due Stamps

This set of four postage due stamps features a simple, functional typographic design. Each stamp displays its denomination (1c, 2c, 4c, and 10c) prominently in the center, with the words 'POSTAGE DUE' above and 'RHODESIA' below, all set against a solid color background unique to each value. The design is utilitarian, intended to clearly indicate the amount of postage owed on underpaid mail.

Issued in 1970, these were the first postage due stamps released by the Republic of Rhodesia following its Unilateral Declaration of Independence from Britain in 1965. They replaced the previous issues of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland.
