This definitive stamp features a central vignette of the Dromedaris, one of the three ships that brought Jan van Riebeeck to establish a settlement at the Cape of Good Hope in 1652. The design is framed by two protea flowers, the national flower of South Africa, with a portrait of King George V at the top.
