Indochina Tourist Sites
Vietnam · 1950 · Various
This set of ten stamps, issued for use across French Indochina, showcases prominent tourist sites and landmarks. The designs feature iconic locations such as the Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia, the One Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi, and Ha Long Bay, rendered in a distinctive photogravure style.
Issued in 1950 by the French colonial administration, this set was one of the last general issues for all of French Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos) before the region's political landscape was radically altered by the First Indochina War.
