A postal cover featuring a special cachet depicting a submarine launching a missile, with text 'MISSILE MAIL' and 'FIRST OFFICIAL MISSILE MAIL'. A 4-cent US postage stamp is affixed for postage.

This cover commemorates the world's first and only official missile mail delivery, where 3,000 letters were launched from the USS Barbero submarine to Naval Auxiliary Air Station, Mayport, Florida, on June 8, 1959.
