This definitive set was issued to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V. The designs feature a portrait of the King alongside various pictorial scenes representing the territories, including Mount Kilimanjaro, a dhow on Lake Victoria, a lion, and giraffes. The stamps were printed by De La Rue & Co. using the photogravure process.

Issued across the British Empire in 1935, the Silver Jubilee sets were among the first omnibus issues, celebrating 25 years of King George V's reign and showcasing the unity and diversity of the colonies.
