King George V Silver Jubilee

Kenya, Uganda, and Tanganyika · 1935 ·

This omnibus issue commemorates the Silver Jubilee of King George V. The design, common to many British colonies, features a central portrait of the King in his admiral's uniform, flanked by a view of Windsor Castle. The country name 'Kenya Uganda Tanganyika' is inscribed at the bottom.

Issued in 1935, this set was part of the first-ever British Commonwealth omnibus series, celebrating 25 years of King George V's reign across the empire. It was the first issue to bear the full names of all three territories.
