Taiwan 1950s Postal Stationery, Set of 3

Taiwan (Republic of China) · 1950 · Various

This is a set of three different pieces of postal stationery issued by Taiwan in the 1950s. Postal stationery items, such as stamped envelopes, postcards, or aerogrammes, are sold with the postage pre-printed on them. Designs from this era often featured patriotic themes, maps of China, or portraits of national figures like Sun Yat-sen.

Following the retreat of the Republic of China government to Taiwan in 1949, postage and stationery were updated to reflect the new political reality and assert sovereignty.
