This set of four stamps features native wildlife of Trinidad and Tobago. The designs depict the Scarlet Ibis (Eudocimus ruber), the Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis), the Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea), and the Red-bellied Macaw (Ara manilata). The stamps were designed by Jennifer Toombs and printed by lithography.

Issued in 1978, this set highlights the rich biodiversity of the islands, promoting conservation and national pride in the country's unique fauna during a period of growing global environmental awareness.
