This official stamp features the coat of arms of Sudan, which is centered around a Secretarybird bearing a traditional shield from the era of the Mahdist State. Two scrolls are placed above and below the bird; the upper one displays the national motto, 'Al-Nasr Lana' (Victory is Ours), and the lower one displays the name of the state, 'Jumhuriyat as-Sudan' (Republic of the Sudan). The denomination '50' is prominently displayed in the top right corner.

Issued for official government use in 1990, this stamp reflects the national symbols adopted after Sudan gained independence. The Secretarybird was chosen for its association with the region and its representation of strength.
