60 Years Komsomol All-Union Philatelic Exhibition Postal Card

Soviet Union · 1978 · 4 kopecks

This postal card features a large stylized '60' with a hammer and sickle emblem and a star, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Komsomol. Below it, Cyrillic text reads '60 лет ВЛКСМ' and 'Всесоюзная филателистическая выставка'. The pre-printed stamp in the top right corner shows a Soviet emblem and '4 КОП'.

Issued in 1978, this postal card commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Komsomol (All-Union Leninist Young Communist League), a significant youth organization in the Soviet Union, and also promotes an All-Union Philatelic Exhibition. It reflects the Soviet state's emphasis on youth indoctrination and the popular hobby of philately.
