This is a collection of 25 different used postage stamps from the independent 'New Republics' that emerged after the dissolution of the USSR, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia. The stamps represent the early postal history of these newly sovereign nations.

Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the subsequent collapse of communist regimes, several new countries were formed in Eastern and Central Europe, each issuing their own unique stamps to assert their national identity.
