This Polish Post stamp commemorates the 7th anniversary of the Smolensk plane crash. It features a portrait of the late presidential couple, Lech and Maria Kaczyński, set against the Polish national flag. The names of all 96 victims of the crash are incorporated into the design.
The Smolensk air disaster on April 10, 2010, involved the crash of a Polish governmental Tu-154M aircraft near Smolensk, Russia, killing all 96 passengers and crew, including President Lech Kaczyński and his wife, en route to a ceremony commemorating the Katyn massacre.
