This definitive series, issued under United States administration, features portraits of prominent figures from American, Spanish, and Filipino history. The set includes depictions of US President William McKinley, Spanish explorer Ferdinand Magellan, and Filipino national hero José Rizal, reflecting the complex colonial history of the islands at the time. The designs are finely engraved and were printed by the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
