This set of three stamps was issued to commemorate the Second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC '77), held in Lagos, Nigeria. The stamps feature significant works of African art: the 5k shows a Benin Bronze Head, the 18k depicts the official festival emblem which is a replica of the Royal Ivory Mask of Benin, and the 30k displays a Nok terracotta sculpture.
