This set of three stamps from the Malayan state of Johore features a portrait of Sultan Ibrahim I. The design is framed by an ornate border, with the state name 'JOHORE' at the top and the denomination in both English and Jawi script at the bottom. The stamps were issued in three different colors corresponding to their denominations: black (1c), green (2c), and red (3c).

Issued under British protection, these stamps reflect the local sovereignty of the Sultanate of Johore within the Unfederated Malay States. Sultan Ibrahim's long reign (1895–1959) spanned a critical period of modernization and political change in the region.
