Morocco 1960 Coat of Arms Definitive Series

Morocco · 1960 · Various (1f to 500f)

This definitive series features the Coat of Arms of Morocco, adopted in 1957. The design includes the pentagram from the national flag, the Atlas Mountains, and a rising sun, all framed by two lions. An inscription in Arabic at the bottom reads, "If you glorify God, He will glorify you."

Issued just a few years after Morocco regained its independence from French and Spanish protectorates in 1956, this series symbolized the new era of the sovereign Kingdom of Morocco under King Mohammed V.
