Laos Postage Due Stamp
Laos · 1952 · 10c
This is the first postage due stamp issued by the Kingdom of Laos. The design features a large numeral '10' indicating the amount due, with 'TIMBRE-TAXE' (Tax Stamp) printed above and 'POSTES LAO' below, all within an ornate frame.
Issued shortly after Laos gained semi-autonomy within the French Union in 1949, this stamp represents the establishment of its independent postal administration.
