Cambodia State Emblem
Cambodia · 1951 · 1 Piastre
This stamp features the Royal Coat of Arms of Cambodia, a symbol of the monarchy. The design includes the Unalome symbol on a sword placed atop two ceremonial bowls, flanked by two royal five-tiered umbrellas and supported by two mythical creatures, the gajasingha and the rajasingha.
Issued in 1951, this was the very first postage stamp of the newly independent Kingdom of Cambodia, marking its philatelic sovereignty after the end of the French protectorate.
