This definitive stamp features the profile portrait of King George V, facing left, within an ornate oval frame. The design is known as the 'Mackennal' profile, created by Bertram Mackennal. The country name 'JAMAICA' is inscribed at the top, with 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' below, and the denomination '2½D' at the bottom.
Issued as part of the first definitive series for Jamaica under King George V's reign, this stamp replaced the previous King Edward VII issues. It was used for both postage and revenue purposes throughout the colony.
