This circular metal encased stamp features a French 10 centimes stamp visible through a clear window. The metal rim is inscribed with advertising for Lecluselle et Becquart, a coal transport business in Lille.
Used as emergency currency (Notgeld) in France during and after World War I due to coin shortages, this encased stamp also served as an advertisement for a local coal transport company in Lille.
