Spain 1931 Pro-Republic Provisional Overprint

This provisional stamp features a black overprint 'REPUBLICA ESPAÑOLA' on the 1930 10c carmine definitive stamp depicting King Alfonso XIII. The overprint was applied to existing monarchist stamp stocks following the proclamation of the Second Spanish Republic.
