This set of five stamps commemorates the 10th anniversary of Estonia's independence. The designs are from the 1922-25 definitive series, featuring a blacksmith, a Viking ship, and a weaver, which were surcharged in red or black with the new currency value and the anniversary dates '1918-1928'. This overprinting method was a common and economical way to issue commemorative stamps at the time.
