First Christmas Seal, Denmark, 1904

A red charity seal featuring a nurse holding a child, with a cross symbol and the text 'Julen 1904' and 'Glædelig Jul' (Merry Christmas).

This is the world's first Christmas Seal, introduced in Denmark by postal clerk Einar Holbøll to raise funds for children's health, particularly against tuberculosis.
