This definitive stamp was issued for use in the Turkish-controlled areas of Cyprus. The design features the value '10 Mils' centrally, framed by ornate scrollwork and topped with the crescent and star emblem, which is also found on the Turkish flag. The text reads 'KIBRIS TÜRK YÖNETİMİ POSTALARI', which translates to 'Cyprus Turkish Administration Posts'.

Following intercommunal strife in the 1960s, a separate Turkish Cypriot postal administration was established. These stamps were issued prior to the 1974 Turkish invasion and the subsequent declaration of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus.
