United Arab Emirates Revenue Stamps
United Arab Emirates · 1973 · Various
This is a general listing for revenue or fiscal stamps from the United Arab Emirates. These stamps were not intended for postage but were used to pay taxes or fees on documents and goods. Designs often feature the national coat of arms, the Quraysh hawk, along with inscriptions in both Arabic and English.
Following the formation of the UAE in 1971, the new federal government issued its own revenue stamps to standardize the collection of taxes and fees across the seven emirates, replacing the various fiscal systems previously in place.
